Our History:

Formed in the fall of 1989, Stonestreet quickly made its mark on the Charleston, WV music scene, establishing itself as a key player in the local music community. The band’s journey began when friends David Fitzwater (guitar) and Steve Fish (bass) came together with the shared goal of creating something special. Joined by, Tony Fish (keyboards), Bryan McClung (drums), and Jack Anderson (vocals) the band embarked on its musical journey.

In 1994, Bryan McClung departed and was replaced by Dale Chappell on drums. marking the beginning of the historical Stonestreet lineup, a configuration that would go on to define the group’s signature style and sound for years to come.

Like any great band, Stonestreet experienced its share of transitions. In 2000, Tony Fish left the band, and in 2007, both Jack Anderson and Dale Chappell departed. This period marked a shift in the group’s dynamics, as Chris Blaze filled Dale’s spot, and DB Scott and Sonya Lea joined as male and female co-lead vocalists, ushering in a fresh, exciting direction for Stonestreet.

In 2011, Kersey Mata stepped in as the new male vocalist, replacing DB Scott and in 2018 Chris Blaze departed with Dale Chappell returning. This change brought the majority of the original lineup back together. During this time, Sonya Lea also left, with Anna Myers filling in from 2019 to 2020, before Nicole Mata joined in 2023, finalizing the current lineup of Stonestreet.

Through its changes, Stonestreet has remained true to its core values: ensuring that the audience always has a great time and keeping the dance floor packed. Whether it’s a lively dance party or a music festival, Stonestreet’s drive, and energy never falters, offering something for everyone. Their repertoire spans the best of party and dance music, from classic oldies to today’s hits. In between sets, the band keeps the energy alive with a live DJ, offering karaoke, party games, contests, and endless fun.
